Man you should really play SS2 or Deus Ex (the original). They should be pretty cheap i'm not sure if they are on steam but if they are you should give them a shot.

Deus Ex is the best in my opinion. Rapes every game on that list.

See if he had a voice, some type of personality it wouldn't be so bad. But really it's just him doing things without so much of an opinion. A questioning, his personal agenda etc. I get that it's his "destiny" or something like that to do what he's doing. But his personality, character traits aren't really there. Makes him feel like a shallow and hallow character.

With Chell due to her surroundings and her being pretty much a lab rat i can see why she's trying to escape...

I like people. The thing is i felt that Uncharted was one of the last of the dying breed of great single player only games. Showing that it could be done this gen if the game is good enough and Uncharted was. Now i feel like it's just pandering to the newer audience of "Multiplayer in every game plex" new age gamers. Now if it had Offline Coop i wouldn't have a probably with that since my girlfriend could play as Drake's new woman sidekick.

Which is why Deus Ex is my pinnacle of fps gaming. Deep, multi paths, awesome characters etc. It was and still is to me what games COULD be. More than just a game, push the envelope on things you do and what you think. Just look at the ending there was no real good or bad ending. Only what YOU personally thought was good for humankind. Powerful.

I know what you're saying but generally i just get the feeling he's just a "Yes man". Most of the dialog is throwaway as you ...

I loved MDK2. Max was always my personal favorite out of the 3 of them. A cigar smoking, gun totting robotic dog with 6 arms. That's pretty badassed in my book.

Sam Fisher at least TRIES in my opinion to have a few worthy lines of dialog. Like trying to save that chick at the end of Double Agent.

Gordan Freeman just seems like a puppet being lead on strings throughout all the games. He never has an opinion on anything, any type of internal dialog or anything. No body language nothing. He just sort of does stuff without questioning or anything.

Where the f**k is Gordon Freeman? You know the silent protagonist with absolute ZERO personality and that's a mindless puppet.

Am I the only person that DOESN'T want multiplayer in Uncharted 2? I don't think the game needs it and i don't want it to be honest. If anything give me offline coop.

Damn there all my favorite characters are on it from Raziel to Kratos.

Just reading about Kazuma Kiryu makes me want to get Yakuza 3.

I have to admit i'm terrible at setting up turrets unless it's for search and retrieve. But the biggest tip i can give you guys is:

Play tactician if no one else is a tact on your team. Switching to tact and placing a (good) spawn point really can turn the tides of any game mode. Also a great lesser known tip is that wherever you throw a spawn grenade the people who spawn from it will spawn in the OPPOSITE direction of where you throw it. So when you throw one ideally your back s...

I get what the author is getting at and i agree because i buy my games based on my own personal interest. Thing is it's different as a consumer vs journalist. Most times these guys get games supplied to them by the publishers (well the more well known) and that's quite a difference between being handed a game and saying "See what you think of it" and choosing weather or not to plunk down your cold hard cash to take that risk. With that being said it doesn't hurt in the least for eve...

Doubt it the esrb rating was for XB and PS and so was the madcatz fighting stick listing.

"Killer App", "Triple A" and any other variant of those terms simply means really good games. Sales don't really matter in my opinion. A good game is a good game regaurdless if it doesn't hit the mainstream or sell tons of units. Just look at Okami for example.

@Omega64: NG2 did have ads. And alot of them i might add. You might not remember them but i do, they were the badassed version of Ryu getting up in a field of nothing but swords and dead bodies.

A inanimate object scared of another inanimate object? Amazing.

I wasn't trying to discount the writers opinion from the article. I was just saying for ME, my experience is that they meet that goal. Using the game as a platform for both creators and players. Just look at some of the points he makes in the article. Time consumption, level quality and rating system. You can generally tell which levels are great by looking at their star rating and how many people rated it. Not to mention the heart level/author tool. If you like certain levels made by one per...

Isn't the main goal making sure the game is fun to play so that people will come back and play it?

But really i think the game does a great job at doing what it does. Now i don't play LBP daily or bi-weekly but when i do hop on i can easily find a few 4 or 5 star rated levels that's been played by a few thousand people. And those levels usually end up being pretty good. Same way i can go into someones first time level and see what they tried to do and their "angle" of ...

I just picked up Soul Reaver 2 a month or so ago (after never quite beating the original still) and again i still love this series. I would LOVE for a new iteration or a remake of the original. I have Blood Omen 2 and it was meh. I seen video's of the original Blood Omen and it looked fantastic. A next gen reboot would be amazing but also probably possible. Eidos could get back into my good graces if they make a new (good) LoK game and make Deus Ex 3 good. But i'd settle for one of those thin...
